THE WHOLE TOUR IS NOT JUST FOOD

This tour is about 4 hours and includes the famous Testaccio Hill, made by the romans by throwing away the empty wine’s amphoras: an immense waste dump made by pottery. Shortly but intensely we visit the romantic english cemetery where Keats and Shelley rest in peace: when popes where kings of Rome, here we buried the non catholic people. Last but not least, we walk along and inside the ancient roman walls, built in the 3rd century AD by the emperor Aurelian to protect the city from the barbarian invasions (and evidently they haven’t worked!): we enter the massive door of Saint Paul and we will circle the Pyramid of Gaius Cestius who buried his family into an impressive egyptian monument.

WHO IS WITH YOU

This is a small group tour with Max 8 people. Your guide will meet you at the White Pyramid of Gaius Cestius, couple of minutes walking from the B-Line Subway Stop Piramide (just 2 stops away from Colosseo). Your guide is a roman and a food passionate: he lives nearby Testaccio and knows the place and its history very well.
